Dip Into Time

A way to make timelines fun is by using Dipity. Dipity is a website that is fun and is a easy way to make timelines. To make a timeline on dipity you have to make an account, but it is free. Then you click make a time line, and go on from there. You pick a topic and then you choose a category that best fits the time line that you are planning on making. Then, you start by adding events to your timeline and you can add pictures, videos and links to your time line. Dipity is a fun way to help make timelines, especially since you can view other peoples timelines that they have made on dipity.

Making a timeline on dipity is a fun thing that students could do. I remember in grade school and in high school making timelines, and i always enjoyed it. Having dipity to help make the timelines would be an asset to the class. Being able to add picture and video is something fun that would be beneficial to a timeline. Since a lot of pictures are computer based it would help the students by making it convenient to access their pictures. Another way that dipity would benefit the classroom would be that you can share every students timelines with the other students in the classroom.  You could also let the students present their timelines and walk everyone through their timelines and further explain the descriptions already through out the timelines.

I thought that dipity was a really cool tool. After playing around making a timeline it showed me that it would be both beneficial and an asset to the classroom. I made a timeline of major homework assignments that i have due in the future, i found that it would be a tool that could be used as an online assignment notebook for the younger grades and a syllabus for older grades. Their are many different uses that dipity could be used for and it would be both beneficial and fun for both the students and the teachers to use.

Module 2- Infuse Your Learning

Infuse Learning is another great tool that can be used in the classroom. It is a great way that you can connect the teacher and the student together, inside and outside of the classroom. It is an online website that you can help evaluate the students through different educational tools. In Infuse Learning there are many different ways that you can help you student succeed in class.
Infuse learning is a tool, that you can evaluate the student. This can be used in and out of the classroom. Inside the classroom, you can send quick assessment questions to the students device. If you are teaching for example about history and you are unsure if your students are understanding what you are teaching, you could send them a question and you would see the results in real time and you would then see if the student understand the concept you are teaching. Since in most classroom there are always students that know the correct answer yet most of the students are really confused. This is a way to see every students understanding.

Outside of the classroom, you can make quizzes that you can send to the students devices. There are many different questions you can ask. Draw response, true/false, multiple choice, sort & order, open ended text, numeric, and linker scale are the different options of quiz questions. When you send a quiz to a student you can also see the students results in real time and if you see they need help you can help them. There are also infuse draw and infuse link. These are two other ways that you can help the learning process of your students. If you want a your students to see a link you can send it to them to make sure they have the right website, or you can draw thing out and have them draw to explain understanding.

As a teacher this is a great way to help your students stay connected to the classroom, both inside and out, infuse learning is also accommodating. If your students would learn better in another language they can change there infuse page to the language that they speak fluently. If a student learns better by hearing the questions rather than reading them, infuse learning will also read the question out load in any language. Infuse learning seems like a really good way to asses your students and would be a good tool to use in the classroom. The website is easy to understand and use for both the student and the teacher. The tool would be a welcomed asset to the classroom.

Module 1- Symbaloo All Of Your Favorite Websites

For my first blog on a technology tool, I choose to write about the website called symbaloo. You can find this website here: http://www.symbaloo.com/. Symbaloo is a website that you can link all your favorite websites, so that you can find them all in one place. Symbaloo is a place where you can find everything that you need and never have to type in a URL ever again.

Symbaloo can be used in many different ways. The average person can use symbaloo for an easy way to access all of their favorite websites. You can access the bookmarks that you make from any computer, unlike the bookmarks you make on your own personal computer. You can be in a different state than what you live in and log on this site and have every website that you have saved for you to access. Symbaloo is an easy way to organize all your favorite websites. If you are a professional, in your profession you may have to access a lot of websites in a day that are hard to remember, so in your job you can save all the websites you need. In symbaloo you can also have different tabs that you can save, so you can have different pages of categories for all of your websites to help organize all the websites you have.

When you make a symbaloo account, there are websites that have already been saved to help you start. They come with many educational links. Symbaloo can be used for a personal learning network. Symbaloo comes with many websites to help you learn and teach better. Yet, it can also be a place where you can save all of your outside personal learning networks. Symbaloo can be your personal learning environment.

As a teacher Symbaloo can be used in many other ways also. On Symbaloo you can connect with other teachers, and share your websites to help you learn other learning techniques.  Another learning technique teachers can do is share their symbaloo’s with their students so they can access websites they need to for school. It is an easy way that students can go and have the exact website that the teacher wants them to be on. Symbaloo is an easy way to connect your students. Symbaloo is a website that you can use in your classroom that is both beneficial to your students and yourself yet is also helpful to make the classroom flow easier since everything is saved in one place.

Symbaloo is a very helpful website. I just recently found out about it and I have found it very helpful. I now have it as my homepage and I use it as a source to get to all of the websites that I need. Right now being a student I found symbaloo really helpful because it already came with many websites that will help me learn, but it is also a place that I can link other websites that I will be using. In the future I could see symbaloo being very helpful in my classroom. It is a very helpful website that will help me connect with my students.

Symbaloo is a very helpful website that saves links to every website that you need, it is conveniently in one place to make going to many websites easier. It has many useful benefits to anyone who would want to use symbaloo. Over all Symbaloo is an excellent website and I would recommend it for everyone, especially teachers.
